POS & Frontline Sales Systems
Build a point-of-sale workflow around how your staff sell, take payments, return items and close a shift. Rootscratch develops POS and frontline sales applications for retail, food businesses and service counters.
Define the workflow
We agree on the devices, network conditions and payment methods before selecting an approach. Browser-based, tablet and connected counter setups have different requirements. Offline operation, receipt printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers need explicit hardware and recovery testing.
What the project can include
- Product search, barcode entry, price rules and authorised discounts.
- Tender recording, split payments and controlled refunds.
- Shift opening, cashier reconciliation and supervisor approvals.
- Stock deductions, branch reporting and receipt generation.
How we validate the result
Acceptance covers normal sales and exceptions: cancelled payments, repeated checkout taps, refunds after a shift closes, printer failure and network interruption. Payment recording must reconcile with the provider or cashier totals rather than merely showing a success screen.
Planning your project
Provide device models, existing receipts, branch count and your return policy. Any fiscal, invoice or reporting requirements must be supplied and validated with your adviser; custom POS software is not automatically a certified fiscal solution.
Rootscratch is based in Koronadal City, Philippines, and works remotely with clients worldwide. Discuss your requirements to agree on deliverables, responsibilities, handover and ongoing support.
