Rootscratch was established in 2023, founded by John Christian Natividad, a developer from Koronadal City.
Before starting Rootscratch, I gained experience in web development since 2017. However, I pursued web penetration testing (cybersecurity) until 2021, which led me to create various open-source tools for cybersecurity.
Currently, I have returned to web development, working with my clients to develop and design websites, as well as create custom web applications. Occasionally, I collaborate with a team depending on the complexity of the system or website.
I decided to build my own portfolio website, but I felt it was too self-centered to use my own name. Instead, I created Rootscratch as a representation of my work and passion.
