App Development
Mobile app development for customer services and internal workflows. Plan the iOS, Android, backend, and release requirements with a developer based in the Philippines.
Build an app for a clear task
Rootscratch helps Philippine businesses plan and develop mobile applications for customers and internal teams. A useful app gives people a reason to return: managing an account, checking a request, completing field work, or accessing a service on their phone.
We begin with the user journey and the devices your audience uses. A mobile app may be appropriate when the project needs device capabilities or a dedicated recurring experience. For content and straightforward inquiries, a responsive website may meet the need with less ongoing maintenance.
Scope the mobile experience and its backend together
- Customer and staff interfaces for defined everyday tasks.
- iOS and Android delivery, with native or cross-platform implementation chosen for the requirements.
- Account access and permissions appropriate to each type of user.
- APIs and data storage that connect the app to the business process.
- Forms, search, notifications, and device features where included in scope.
- Loading, empty, error, and recovery states so users understand what happened.
Connectivity requirements matter. If staff need to work with a poor connection, offline behavior, synchronization, and conflicting updates must be designed explicitly. These are separate requirements, not automatic features of every app.
How delivery works
We map the core journey, agree on the first release, and prepare an interface you can review before building the full system. Development proceeds through working milestones, with checks on the agreed devices and operating-system versions.
Testing covers the important actions, account boundaries, validation, failure handling, and integration behavior. We discuss what data the app needs and how it should be handled, including permissions and privacy information that must match the implemented features.
App-store release requires owner-controlled developer accounts, approved business information, store assets, and the applicable review process. Third-party approval times and policies are outside our control. Release responsibilities and any ongoing maintenance are recorded in the project scope.
What should be in your brief?
Describe the people using the app, their main task, supported devices, and the tools it must connect to. Screenshots or a short example of your existing process are useful. Avoid sending credentials or real customer records in the initial inquiry.
Cost and timing depend on the platforms, features, backend work, integrations, and testing requirements. A focused first release provides a clearer basis for estimating and collecting feedback than an unrestricted feature list.
Connected services
An app may share records with a business system or use a custom web application for administration. Rootscratch is based in Koronadal City, South Cotabato, with remote collaboration for businesses across the Philippines.
